You write, "Imagine walking across a structure that builds itself with each step you take." It got me thinking that the best bridges allow for two-way traffic, and that perhaps you find evidence of your impact on others by looking, at least in part, at their impact on you?
Tom - I understand your metaphor and like it. When I take photos of our Rainbow Bridge on Donner Summit I’m discovering new angles to share its beauty with others. It’s a collaboration between the bridge and me, and me and you.
It’s the bridge that matters

Very well said. I am who I am because you are who you are. And you are who you are because I am who I am.
You said it better! ;)
