Looking inward, what if those whirlpools extend into the brain also, multiple whirlpools each specialising in one of our hundreds of senses, all competing for that precious glucose but also co-operating to keep the show on the road - and what if the famous flow state is nothing more than all the whirlpools whirling in sync, a dazzling dervish dance. Not a bad way to spend a Friday :)
Being is a verb. Not sure when and how the mental crossover to noun occurred. Adam hid himself among the trees. Likely, a symbol of withdrawal from participation.
You as conscious being is invisible. Things that are true and things that matter are invisible. Being made in the image of God, implies invisibility. Clay is add-on. The primacy of unseen things over the seen things is observed wherever you look, including the physical universe. The seen actually emerges from the unseen. That is demonstrable.
The physicist Rovelli wrote that there is no existence without interaction. Objects have properties only in relation to other objects. Nothing exists in itself. That was a striking observation, that took my breath away when I was reading.
